Golden Pavilion was inspired by the very grand and beautiful Kinkaku-ji temple in Kyoto. Covered in pure gold leaf, it was a sight to behold! The day we went, it was extremely crowded (probably because it was sakura season), but I managed to get a nice shot.
The landscaping was gorgeous, but it was really the main building that shone. A walk through the gardens is also recommended.
The star of this pair are the golden rutiles, with beautiful gold needles darting through each stone.
