The concept and vision for this necklace came to me a few months ago as I sketched it out, so making this was incredibly exciting as I hand wired every single piece in its place one by one.
Days and many metres of gold filled wire later, I am very happy to see it materialize into a necklace that holds a story.
Inspired by a grown-up and mature Ariel and her surroundings under the magnificent, deep blue sea, she is surrounded by translucent, focal Type A jadeite shells in alluring bluish-green, glowing Tahitian pearls with different overtones, “wind chimes” of grey, rainbow- iridescent keishi pearls and “barnacles upon the corals” of white keishi pearls.
She loves sultry colors, with deep red garnet and sparkly green amethyst drops, black spinel, and glowing labradorite. And do you see the Herkimer diamonds that represent the sunlight glistening on the ocean?
Everything has a purpose, and a story... this necklace has just that, if you allow your imagination to run free.
